The purpose of the Network Architect is to provide network resources and subject matter expert that is responsible for the design of the County's enterprise grade network. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position. Network Architecture, Network control protocols (DHCP, QOS, PoE, IPv4, HTTP, DNS, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac)n Network management protocols (CDP, SNMP), Network Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, IGRP, EIGRP), Network Fabrics, Software Defined Networking. Possess experience with a wide array of network related to technology components (e.g. Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Must be technically competent, have strong communication and collaboration skills, and strong documentation and diagraming skills. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license. Specific License or Certification Preferred or Required within the first year of employment: Certification in one or more of the following areas is preferred: CCNP, CCIP, CCAr or equivalents preferred.
